This is final artwork for an independent game I worked on recently, which is 2D in nature...a throwback to old school space shooters that I used to play when I was a kid in the 80s. The orginal ideas was to have some kind of blobby alien of some sort and I came up with this maggoty thing that dissolves the minerals found in asteroid and turns it into energy for itself. It would be better to create it in 3D, but that is for another day.
Thank you! I have lots more art to upload and make...this is going to be a busy year! Glad you are enjoying some of the work. Scott is my best friend, your son is in great hands!
You know I always have to make art that the client approves of. That usually means some kind of compromise on what my original vision is. Sometimes I get new ideas from the client, sometimes I have to change the pose or camera angle. Usually it means the final art is not as powerful as it could have been. I wanted to do something much more fantastic than this, but since I must have hit the right buttons with you, maybe I was doing something right. It makes me want to try this on again but on my own terms.

But it will aways gross me out...
